Who we are

The data controller for personal data collected on this site is SEO ANT LTD (for which SEO.London is a trading name), registered in England, company number 12320937. Registered office: International House, 24 Holborn Viaduct, London, EC1A 2BN, United Kingdom. ICO registration number ZA580812.

What we collect

When you submit the contact form we receive the name, email address and message content you provide. If analytics are enabled on this site we may also collect basic technical data such as page URL, referrer, approximate location and device type.

Why we collect it and lawful basis

We use the information you submit to reply to your enquiry about a lift, stairlift or elevator. Our lawful basis is legitimate interest in operating a UK information site and, where you are asking about engineer referral, taking steps at your request prior to entering a contract.

Where your data goes

Form submissions are emailed to lukasz@zelezny.co.uk and processed by our transactional email delivery provider. We do not sell your data, and we do not add you to any marketing list without your explicit consent.

Retention

We keep contact-form messages only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any reasonable follow-up. Messages that lead nowhere are deleted from our inbox; messages associated with an ongoing enquiry are retained for as long as the conversation is active.

have it erased where the lawful basis no longer applies;

Third-party services

Scheduling on our guide articles is provided by Calendly LLC. When you interact with the embedded calendar to book a call, any details you enter (name, email, meeting time and anything you type into the notes field) are processed by Calendly under its own privacy policy. The Calendly widget only loads once you scroll it into view, and we do not receive booking data unless you complete a booking.

How little data this site actually needs

This is an information site about lifts, stairlifts and elevators, so the amount of personal data it needs in order to work is very small. There is no account to create, no login, no basket and no saved profile. You can read every brand page, symptom page, guide and knowledge-base entry without telling us anything about yourself at all. The only point at which you hand over personal data on purpose is the contact form, and that only happens because you have chosen to ask us a question.

We have deliberately kept that form short. It asks for a name so a reply can be addressed to somebody, an email address so the reply has somewhere to go, and the message itself. There are no optional marketing boxes, no tick-box consent bundled into the submit button, and no third-party advertising or profiling scripts embedded in the page. Nothing you type is used to build a marketing profile, and submitting the form does not add you to a mailing list or generate a sales call from us or from anybody else.

If your question involves a specific lift, please describe the equipment rather than the people around it. The manufacturer, model, age, unit number, what the lift is doing and when it started are all genuinely useful to us. Names of residents, tenants, staff or patients, flat numbers, medical details and access codes are not, and we would rather you left them out entirely than sent them and asked us to delete them afterwards.

Security and who can see your message

Messages submitted through the contact form travel over an encrypted HTTPS connection and are delivered by email to a single monitored inbox. They are read by the small number of people who answer enquiries for this site, and by nobody else. We do not pass your message, your name or your email address to lift service companies, manufacturers, engineers or any other third party, and we do not sell or rent contact details under any circumstances.

The directory of lift service companies on this site is compiled from publicly available records. It carries no paid placement, no ranking and no referral arrangement, which matters for your privacy as well as your wallet: because nothing flows back to us when you contact a listed company, there is no commercial reason for us to share who asked about what. If you go on to contact a company you found here, that conversation is entirely between you and them, and their own privacy policy governs it rather than ours.

A handful of technical intermediaries necessarily handle data in transit: the hosting platform that serves these pages, and the transactional email provider that delivers form submissions to our inbox. Each acts on our instructions for the sole purpose of running the site and delivering your message. Where analytics are enabled, they are used to understand which pages are being read, not to identify individual readers, and they play no part in how we answer you.

Cookies, tracking and links away from this site

This site does not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels or cross-site tracking. It does not sell audience data, and it does not embed social network widgets that would report your visit back to those networks. Any cookie or local storage entry set by this site exists to make the site work — remembering that you have dismissed a notice, or holding a preference while you move between pages — rather than to follow you elsewhere on the web.

Some pages link out to manufacturer documentation, official guidance such as regulator pages, and the public websites of lift service companies. Following one of those links takes you to an organisation we do not control, with its own cookies, its own analytics and its own privacy policy. We check that outbound links point somewhere legitimate, but we cannot be responsible for what a third-party site collects once you arrive there, so it is worth reading their notice if you plan to submit anything.

One embedded third-party service does appear on some guide articles: the scheduling calendar described above. It is loaded only when you scroll it into view, so a reader who never reaches it never contacts that provider at all. If you would rather avoid it entirely, use the contact form or email us directly instead — you lose nothing, because both routes reach the same inbox and receive the same reply from the same people.
